Hello, Buddy!

Today’s story of the day is the funniest I’ve seen in a while because how do you explain to Oga that is already looking for a replacement that the only reason you tendered a resignation letter was to get a raise?

THE BIG IDEA

When Your Boss Thinks You’re Not Working

Do you ever feel like your boss thinks you’re not doing anything even though you work your ass off?

You know what they say, “no be only you waka come.”

It’s a thing - the productivity paranoia!

It’s pretty much a household concept in the world of remote and hybrid work where employers are suspicious that employees are not working, and employees are constantly under pressure to prove they are working.

The stats show it! 87% of employees say they’re productive at work but only 12% of bosses agree with full confidence.

Y’know it’s funny how some bosses fail to understand that not being able to physically see their employees doesn’t mean they aren’t being productive. Do these guys know that people can fake working hard in the office too? Or haven’t they seen this?

Anyway, if you find yourself constantly having to overwork yourself just to prove to your boss that you’re not just sitting at home sipping jwuiss and watching Netflix all day, there’s a way out.

😂

But yeah! what you can do is learn to compartmentalize your work and personal life to increase productivity and reduce stress. And as vague as that sounds, this article breaks it down into practical actionable steps. It’s a life hack we all need please just so you don’t loose yourself trying to prove a point.

So let’s talk. Have you experienced productivity paranoia in your workplace? How do you handle it?
