About the role
Prospa is looking to hire a detail-oriented Compliance Associate to ensure that our operations and business transactions follow all relevant legal and internal rules. The ideal person will work with the compliance team to monitor business processes and perform routine audits to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks.
What do you need to be considered successful?
The ideal candidate will also help implement new policies, systems, or controls designed to reduce risk and stay up-to-date with regulatory changes, You will be responsible for, but are not limited to the following:

Monitor business processes for compliance and assist all teams in processes and evaluations.

Use routine audits to proactively identify potential compliance risks and assist in resolution

Maintain and process all categories for records and participate in all compliance committee meetings and maintain records of all minutes

Help implement policies, systems, or controls to reduce risk

Prepare compliance reports for management and coordinate with various teams to evaluate all queries and resolutions

Educate and train employees on regulatory and legal requirements as well as industry practices

Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes
How important are you to the bottomline?
As a Compliance Associate,You will be in charge of designing compliance plans, and guiding/educating the management and staff on compliance matters. You will be on the lookout for, update the company on recent regulatory changes, and responding in case of government investigations.
Biggest problem-solving duties on the job
The best candidate for this role is highly analytical, strategic, and experienced in risk analysis and management, communication, and negotiation. There is a need for high attention to detail, excellent people management skills and a good understanding of the English language to make complex communication simple and cohesive.
What do you need to have done in your career?
The ideal candidate for the Compliance Associate role must have:

A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or in a related field.

1+ years experience working in a compliance, legal or finance related role

Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards or compliance requirements

Excellent collaboration, communication and great interpersonal skills.

Great analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Superb organizational and time-management skills
