Hello, Buddy!

There are two types of coworkers; the world besties who you might jam outside while you are both eating free food and supporting Hilda Baci’s Guinness World Record quest and the ones that drive you nuts!

Maybe they’re always eating your lunch from the fridge or taking credit for your work. Whatever it is, you’re about ready to scream.

But before you do, take a deep breath and consider the tips I’d share today.

In Today’s Email:

  1. How to complain to your boss about a coworker

  2. Hilda Baci breaks the world’s longest cooking hours record

THE BIG IDEA

How to Complain to Your Boss about a Coworker

So, you want to complain to your boss about a coworker, huh? Well, let me tell you, Buddy, that’s a slippery slope. You don’t want to be the snitch in the office and end up getting labeled as the office narc.

The relationship with a coworker employs a different dynamic from the relationship with a boss. Here, there could be sentiments. You’re supposed to be “friends” or “be on their side” because you both belong to the same line in the order of things. But what happens when you’ve been pushed to the wall and you have to escalate things?

Conflicts at the workplace are inevitable, but resolving them is where the task lies. There’s even the possibility of feeling guilty afterward if the sanction taken against the person leads to something serious —like losing their job. However, you should still air your grievances if you’re not enjoying work the way you should because of your coworker.

In this article, Nahla Davies gives common reasons why coworkers clash at work, signs that it’s time to speak up, and the 4 best ways to go about it.

Read the article here, and set things straight like a professional whenever that coworker starts to become unbearable.
