THE BIG IDEA

How To Brag Without Sounding Like An Asshole

Do you ever feel like your good work isn’t getting the recognition it deserves? But the thought of bragging about yourself makes you cringe?

Well, I’ve been there too. And I have something to tell you.

Look, I really don’t know how to say this, but I’d need you to stay calm.

Thing is.. you probably didn’t notice, but your work has lost its voice and as such sadly can’t speak for itself any more.

Please accept my deep condolences.

No jokes though. Waiting around in silence hoping that your good work will catch the boss’s eye could be preventing you from getting the recognition—and possibly the promotions—you deserve at work.

So how do you go about it without sounding like an asshole?

This article has done great to teach us some simple and not-too-braggy ways to let others know about your accomplishments. You should check them out, fr.

I’ll leave you with these words of a great philosopher.. “If you don’t honor your own work, you’re nothing.”

Yes, that great philosopher is Lady Gaga, but don’t miss the point.
