Hello, Buddy!

It’s funny how some CEOs talk about how AI is going to replace everyone else’s jobs. But who knew they could be next in line?

🤲🏾

In Today’s Email:

  1. AI is eye-ing your boss’s job

  2. Do you also think Funke Akindele is Taraji P. Henson’s doppelgänger?

THE BIG IDEA

AI Is Eye-ing Your Boss’s Job

Imagine walking into your office on a Monday morning and instead of seeing your boss, you’re greeted by a sleek, shiny robot in a suit, ready to take charge of the day’s meeting. It may sound like something out of a sci-fi movie, but it’s becoming a reality.

NetDragon Websoft, a Hong Kong-based online gaming firm, has recently appointed a virtual robot as its CEO. And guess what? She’s been killing it! In fact, the company has outperformed Hong Kong’s stock market since the appointment.

Yes, yes, I know replacing human bosses with AI may sound like a radical idea, but it’s worth considering the benefits. For starters, AI can work around the clock without needing rest or a salary. The robots don’t have personal motives or biases so you won’t need to suck up to them or try to make them like you.

Plus, the cost savings could be significant, especially when you think about how much some CEOs are paid. Did you know that the average CEO at a Fortune 500 company earns around $16 million a year? That’s more than 399 of their employees combined!

Of course, not everything about a CEO’s job can be automated. CEOs still need to be able to sell a vision, communicate with the public, and negotiate deals. And let’s be honest, there’s something about a human figurehead that just can’t be replaced by a robot.

🤷‍♀️

Now, if you had the power to replace your boss with a robot, would you happily do it, just like these ones? And if you’re a CEO reading this, don’t worry, we still think you’re a valuable member of society.

Just maybe not $16 million valuable.
