CareerBuddy is Helping Young African Professionals Change The Way They Think About Work

In May 2022, CareerBuddy held the maiden edition of her flagship career event “WorkItOut with CareerBuddy”. For a first-of-its-kind event, it was a successful event that laid a strong foundation for a second edition, an even more rewarding outing.

So, preparations commenced; sponsors and facilitators jumped on board, and hundreds of career-driven Gen Zs and millennials sent payment for tickets, even till the morning of the event. The second edition, with a larger audience, was held in November 2022, and feedback already request the date of the third edition. 

“Super glad I came on board this time. It was even better than the first. I’d be back next year”, says Omotayo.

Recent events within the career space have sparked a lot of conversations, bringing like minds together. From making tech & digital job trends and wealth building within the startup space to mental health and work-life balance, young professionals need that space where the could listen and share, finding ways to thrive in their careers. In fact, employers are having to adjust their strategies to hire and retain Gen Zs who are ready to work,  but clamoring for a revamped work culture. So, for the second edition of WorkItOut with CareerBuddy, we hosted four seasoned speakers to lead interest-based groups in these conversations.
