If you’re in a quest for something: a job, gig or sale, then you must be familiar with the commonly uttered words “The money is in the follow up”.
Following up allows you to differentiate yourself from the others: it shows you are genuinely interested, committed and willing to go the extra mile. It also creates an avenue for you to go over any missed points during your interview or pitch.
But in the game of pitches, sales and jobs, it is a quite a sin to pursue prospects. So how exactly do you send out a follow up email without appearing pushy and desperate? Here’s how.

Final note
Although not following up may translate to leaving money on the table, follow up should never be a reason to act desperate. Desperation only leads to one thing- repulsion. Always leave appropriate gaps, ideally between 3-7 working days, between follow ups and you would stand a higher chance of getting what you want.
